Here's my season preview for the Lynx.

It'll be interesting to see how the Lynx do in the opener on Tuesday against the Sun.

It'll also be interesting to see how many people actually show up for the game.

Strib had an article on Augustus yesterday- it was kind of interesting because she said for the first time in a "long time" she can wander around someplace she lives and not be mobbed.

She was to LSU what Whalen was to the U of M. The hometown girl that stayed-despite being one heck of a ball player.

Opening on a Tuesday night isn't always good- but opening against the Sun should bring some butts- but they may be wearing jerseys that say "Whalen."

To bad I wont get a chance to watch them more than a handful of times but I think this team could be very good. I am not sure how important Svet will be to this team simply because of the numbers crunch for playing time. Augustus is going to play most of the time at OG and Ohlde and Hayden will get most of the minutes on the post rotating with the two Williams. That leaves Mann, Jones, and Svet in a rotation at OG and SF and figuring Augustus will be eating up one of those positions the majority of the year we are talking very spotty playing time. The point guard position is critical if the two rookies and Jacobs can handle the job this team could be great simply because few teams can match the quality of low post play with the hopefull play of Augustus.
