The Minnesota Twins turned the majors' second triple play in 13 days to end a serious threat in the eighth inning, and Michael Cuddyer and light-hitting shortstop Juan Castro homered during a 9-5 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night. Cuddyer's two-run shot in the third off Jamie Moyer (2-5) helped erase a 4-1 deficit and give rookie Boof Bonser his first career win.

At least the Twins are winning again but all that's going to give them is a run at 3rd Place in the Central.
I think they're done for the year as far as contending.

I think so too- AL Central other than KC is pretty strong- but for now you got to appreciate the "kids."

I sure do.
I think Cuddy has been a great story this season. If you want to pick a Twin that is a feel-good story, pick Michael. I think he has become a reliable hitter and he may have evolved into a good player. He is hitting very well. He has been the team's consistent hitters this season. It's good to see him work hard and see all pay off for him.
I have my doubts on Mauer being a great player. He sure did not seem to have that fire and will to do well. I was thinking he would be a bust. I do not know if he will be consistent or not, but he has played great these last few weeks. Ever since the Milwaukee series, he really has been stroking the ball. I hope he keeps it up. What people like myself forget that he is only 23 years old so it will take time for him to grow.
Morneau has been great, hasn't he. He needs to hit well for couple of games for him to be on a streak it seems. I hope he keeps it up.
This team could have a great season even if they don't make the playoffs. If they win at the high 80s and end the season of the White Sox, I will be very happy. Then hopefully, Twins can use that money available to sign couple of bonafide free agents. I definitely want to see Luis Castillo resigned along with Hunter.
