    2018 Season

Not real happy with the off-season moves.

Looks like Sanchez the one big bull pen move at a high price is done.

Lets hope other players are able to step up and fix that issue in some way.

And hopefully our young players continue to grow.

Sanchez wasn’t even given a garaunteed contract. The top bullpen additions were no doubt Addison Reed, Rodney, and Duke. Sanchez was a very long shot to make the roster.

Then we still don't have a closer and that will affect the season.

Rodney and Reed will be more than fine closing until Hildenburger is ready to take over.

Closer is one of the most overrated positions in sports.

It is over rated, but the influence on SP is not absent.
It means a SP can pitch a little harder and not be as concerned about pitch counts, if the bullpen and closer is solid.

I forgot about Rodney. Reed is not a closer.

Some place said we offered Lynn 2 years, $20M total. Getting him in that ballpark and for short years would be a great move. It feels like some guys are really going to have to settle including him, Cobb, Moustakas, etc.

    Lynn also rejected that offer.

Yes. Doogie said it was actually 2 years, $12M total so maybe we move it up. A starter for two years that can give you 180-200 innings would be perfect to give Romero and Gonsalves some time. And we lose Santana this offseason.

Lynn signs 1 year deal worth $12 million.

Man that's a sweetheart deal for the Twins. They've picked up some potential difference-makers without really investing that much.

Yep, it is a good move and creates a lot more depth at Pitching on the team. The team also released Sanchez, who was downright awful international play and the one outing in Spring training.

The team should be improved this year.

Dropped $10 on the Twins to win it all at +370. Seems like good value IF Morrison and Lynn produce similar results to last year. This is the most excitement around a Twins team since they opened up the park. Looking forward to it.

The season is set to start and the Polanco situation has really set up the season poorly. And some decisions made prior to the news on Polanco's suspension has potentially left the Twins short-handed in the infield.

The starting rotation is set, with Gibson being the first home game starter, that is very odd.

Odorizzi, Gibson, Berrios and Lynn is the rotation. When Santana is complete with the rehab he will be the 5th starter.

Well Gibson as the #5 starter isn't great, but it's better than Gibson as the #3 starter ....

I'm excited about the Twins for the first time in a long time. I love the new management team. The pitching seems much improved. Polanco hurts but Escobar can handle it. If Sano gets his act together and the power hitting Logan Morrison comes through, we should be lookin good.

    The season is under way.
    Things that come to mind:
    Gibson- solid start so far.
Morrison- May be the worst move of the off-season. He has been paltry at the plate so far.

Walks- What the heck is going on with the pitching staff? They are issuing a ton of walks.

    Wow, Morrison really sucks bad.

Buxton on the DL for Migranes.

Berrios is phenomenal. I saw his pitching last night and he has some wicked stuff.
