I am fairly sure that if you take the under on 48.5 you get paid on 48 and below.
    Inching back towards the wagon...slowly...

Yes. You're locked in. I know people that will run from Sports Book to Sports Book placing as big of bets as allowed at each while the line is still advantageous to them. It will often result in them single-handedly moving the line by the time they're done.

The initial line is set where they think they can get the most equal betting on both sides. If it starts to go too far in one direction, they change the line to promote betting the opposite way. Vegas ideally wants a 1:1 betting ratio.

I love the Wolves over 44.5. This is one I'll jump all over.

I don't feel hugely confident of it, mainly because Jimmy is always an injury risk and because the West has improved even compared to just last year. But yes, overall I think Wolves Over does seem like a safe bet.

I'm with you. I know A LOT of sports gamblers. Everything from guys who bet a few hundred to guys that can swing half a million either way on any given day.

All I know for sure is, the only ones that actually make money in the end are all bookies.

Very true words indeed. The only way to come out ahead is you have to be knowledgeable, selective, disciplined, with strong money management skills. Then you at least will have a chance. Oh yea I missed one....a little luck never hurt.

Even then you're bound to come up short when all is said and done. Bookies will wait you out, no matter what kind of heater you're on.

Very, very, VERY few gamblers can "quit while they're ahead".

So true. That's where discipline and money management come in. Very few people have that.

Most people go by the motto "The next best thing to playin and winnin is playin and losing". They all lose.

The only times I have made money at a Casino are when my band plays at one. Then I always walk out with more money than I went in with because I usually wont gamble. :-)
The few times I've gone to Casino's otherwise i go in with $20 and leave, usually within 20 minutes without $20.

I've lived in Las Vegas for 7 years. The only gambling I do is if I come across a "MegaBucks" machine. Its a $3 pull and the jackpot is a minimum of 10 Million. My rule is 3 dollars in and I can play until I bust or hit the jackpot. Most times I get 1 pull, but I have built it up to about 150.00 once. Eventually it was gone.

I leave the real gambling to my wife.

It very much is. But there is definitely gambling involved. Fortunately most of the time less for her than who she's playing against.

Swear if I still lived in Minnesota I'd try to be friends with Butler. Dude is hillarious in such a unique way. He doesn't mind making things interesting by having a little fun here and there. He's a really interesting dude. Post an image like that on Instagram and you're looking for some praise/attention. Hope Wade and Butler are just messing around with us. Butler always seems to be messing around, except on the court.
