Why would K-Mart run circles around Jefferson? Big Al will punish the crap out of him.
The way I see it on who guards Athony and AI:
Bassy guards AI, Brewer or Gomes guards Melo because Bassy is too small to guard anyone else.
if Jaric (or Buck) is playing PG, they guard Melo and Brewer guards Iverson.

Start Jaric, and let McCants bring the ball up the floor. Let McCants guard AI and Jaric guard Melo.
I will say that K-Mart is pretty strong for a guy his size but he isn't all that good imo. Jefferson should be able to score on him though he's just too short.

Let McCants play point and Green at shooting guard.

I'm going to the game tonight. It was actually tough to get 4 good tickets, so maybe there will be a good crowd. Would love to see some early positivity to bolster the young guys.

I was not impressed by Denver the other night against Seattle. Nene is out of shape and not effective at this point and Martin will wear down if Al is physical with him which shouldnt be a problem. Ratliff and Camby should cancel each other out to some degree. I think the Wolves if they come out strong could actually make this a game if they can keep AI from going crazy. We dont have a great matchup with him right now so I am not sure who will guard him. Melo on the other hand I would start with Gomes on him to rough him up a bit and be physical with him and then get Brewer on him. Melo liked to post up so Gomes will be the best option because of his strength. I would also not have a problem going big against this team at times to force Melo to play against Smith. Smith is quik enough IMO not to get dominated by Melo and I dont think Melo could handle Smiths power game at all.

i had been surfing these forums for a while, finally decided to join up. im very excited for this seaseon--much more so than seasons past. any of you guys know how i can watch games in wisconsin???
i think a match up between mccants and AI will be decent. mccants can out muscle him down on the offensive end with some of his good post skills, but I dont know if mccants will have the lateral quickness to stick with him on defense, shall be interesting to say the least. as for kenyon, hes just not the same player he used to be, i dont get why people are still high on him-the man is always injured and im surprised he can hardly jump anymore. he'll probably be on the sideline getting more tattoos when he goes down.

Will we see a repeat of this, except without the embarassing tech and ejection?

I was more surprised by Seattle than unimpressed by Denver. Damn, Durant is going to tear up the league! Just a few less rookie mistakes on his part and Seattle would have won that game.

Martin had 3 fouls in 18 minutes the other night, and presumably he's rusty. Can Al put some fouls up on K-Mart?

Camby's too thin, K-Mart's too small, rusty, etc, and Nene's too....fat. K-Mart will foul out of this game.

AWESOME START.
This is going to be fun to watch this season. Win or lose.
About four dunks and two threes.

yes. while it will only be about 23 wins ... i'll actually enjoy watching wolves games again. or so this VERY early showing would illustrate.
we need to go to AJ on the next few possessions
